South of Nowhere RECAP/REVIEW: 1x09

The good:

• The camerawork with this show gets better each and every episode. It's no longer like watching a home video! 
• Glen is a little bit more tolerable this episode.
• Is it horrible I want the mom to actually be a cheater? She needs something to make her interesting. 
• Clay is a precious cinnamon roll that must be protected at all costs. Ashley is a sinnamon roll. Meaning she's totally the girl I would have loved to date when I was figuring out my sexuality. 

The bad:

• Can Madison ever... actually... have any interesting qualities...... Seriously, it's not that hard to give her some dramatic past so there's a reason she acts like a total biatch.  
• Why does every single plotline of an episode seem really forced. Like, "Oh, PSA! Earthquakes are bad!" I get it, it's a teen drama. But like..... can they make it more subtle. Can the consequences of the plotline actually follow next episode? Maybe I'm asking too much.  

The WTF?:

• That fight between Madison and Ashley. For real? Fight count- 6. 

The 2005: 

• shut up i know this episode probably aired in 2006 or something but YOU GET MY POINT. pete wentz's style is an era, not a year.
